‘Born of Clay’ art exhibition
Ratchaburi Old Town
1–30 September 2026
An exhibition that brings together art in many forms to tell the story of Ratchaburi, with a digital map to guide the journey and gather what there is to know about the town’s art and places.
The ‘Born of Clay’ exhibition
An ordinary lump of clay is dug, kneaded, thrown and fired before it becomes a vessel strong enough to hold anything at all. People may be no different. We arrive unfinished and are shaped by time, by the people around us, by love, by loss, and by the experiences that slowly change the form a life takes.
BORN OF CLAY
The exhibition traces the link between the making of a piece of pottery and the growing up of a person, through artworks about change, fragility and the beauty hidden along the way. What shapes us is not always the smooth stretch of the road — sometimes it is the pressure, the cracks and the heat of everything that tests us, and little by little that is how we grow into ourselves.
